Canon's latest 18MP entry-level DSLR - the New Canon EOS 60D is packed with many great features - High Resolution vari-angle LCD screen, Wireless Flash Control and Full HD High Definition Video recording.
The Canon EOS 60D replaces the EOS 50D and boasts several superb features thus making it a wonderfully tempting option for photographers. The Canon 60D has an 18MP sensor, low-pass filter and a vari-angle screen which makes shooting easier from any angle. The screen is 1040k-dot resolution which can be flipped out and rotated too. The EOS 60D has a Canon DIGIC 4 processor enabling maximum 5.3fps shooting rate. The 60D also features an in-camera Raw Processing which allows adjustments to brightness, white balance and contrast. The raw image and edited one is saved seperately. You can also choose from a range of filter effects like soft focus, toy camera, grainy black and white, miniature, etc.
The Canon 60D DSLR includes a wireless flash which seems a worthy and welcome addition. However the 60D is limited to control two groups of Speedlite flashes. Another great addition is the digital level (in the LCD and viewfinder) to ensure the horizon is at the correct angle. The Canon 60D records 1920 x 1080p Full HD movies at 24, 25 or 30fps. It also houses a stereo mic input. It lacks a PC flash connection socket.
The Canon EOS 60D has implemented a new multi-control dial which makes it easier to reach and operate when used with BG-E9 battery grip. Canon has changed the body construction of the 60D by using aluminum and polycarbonate. Despite the addition of vari-angle screen the EOS 60D is a bit smaller than 50D, but is meatier in the hand though. The high resolution flip-out screen, 1080p Full HD video, wireless flash and image ranking will surely make the Canon EOS 60D popular among enthusiasts.
